Army ROTC Scholarship Contracting

Hello again everyone! Would anyone have any knowledge of when contracting is for 4-Year scholarship recipients? I lurked around the internet and from what I’ve seen it’s the very beginning of freshman year, but I’d just like to be sure in case I’m mistaken. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Contact the ROO @ the school you are going to attend. They can give you unit specific info.

I’ve read of it happening early, before school. My DS was later in the fall in Oct.

I was told by the LTC at my college that I could contract on first day of classes.

You won't contract until you have the A-OK from DoDMERB and passed the physical fitness test towards the beginning of the fall semester.

Definitely depends on clearance from the medical and passing the fitness test. You won’t get any money until those items are cleared.
