AROTC 2nd Board Waiters 2015

Don't start on until then though... that one will just get burried beneath the other ones in the rotc section. whoever is the first person to realize they've won should do it... just my thought.

And whoever starts it after the results are actually released should probably call it "Official AROTC 2nd Board Winners 2015" or something like that...

If you all don't mind, I'm going to go ahead and start the thread for official AROTC notifications in reference to the 2nd board. That way we can "watch" the thread and get notifications to it when someone posts. Fingers crossed. :)

You can tell by my title that I'm a mom, and this sounds like such a mom question, but aren't you all in class right now? (But hey, I'm at work right now, so who I am to ask?) LOL.

P.S. My DS is so anxious for the results too!

Snowmom I had to laugh when I read your question about seniors in class all day. I teach seniors. My students do most of their work on a computer. All are issued ipads. Checking status online would go unnoticed.

Because I hunkered up on all my classes earlier in my HS career, I've got 2-3 study halls daily (it changes in between two and three every other day) and nothing else better to do. Seniorit15 doesn't help either (as I'm sure many of my companions will agree)

LOL. And I have a senior, so I SHOULD know that...
I guess I should have put a "sarcastic" face with my "mom" question earlier.

Here in NY its mid term week so we have the week off :) which is not helping my patience at all...

First rule of military hurry up and wait. You have all worked hard to get this point, and should be justifiably proud of your accomplishments. Remember there is a third board for ARTOC and if you were boarded previously you will automatically roll over to that board. Some who accepted in 1st board may go academy route or accept another scholarship. May be DQs from physicals. And there is attrition after first year which can open up 3 an 2 year spots. Key is to have backup plans, AROTC at dream school may be 1st choice, but what is your plan B, C, and D. Do not burn any bridges, keep options open as long as you can. Truly believe that whatever happens does so for a reason. All you can do is try your best, and if you have done that you have nothing to be sorry or to apologize for. You have only just submited your applicaton to run a marathon, for those accepted the marathon is yet to come. Good luck to all and keep the faith!

So, here is something for me and my DS to ponder. He got a call today from Lt. Col who was the AROTC PMS interviewer. He wanted to know if DS was still interested in that college. DS responded yes, but said he was concerned about admission. (Personally, I'm not worried because of his grades,etc..) The PMS said he would make a call to admissions if he was to win a scholarship.
So, at this point, before things are released to candidates, do the local PMS and units know who won a scholarship? I think this is a good sign, but until the offer comes, he passes medical, and is contracted, I'll hold off on the champagne.

Has anyone had a phone call or email from a ROO or PMS like BigBillNY's DS recently?

OVO

I have remained in e mail contact with the ROO at my top school (not the school I interviewed at). Other than that I have not gotten any phone calls or anything of that sort
