AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

It just changed!!!! I kept hitting refresh and suddenly it changed!

Now, it's to a school he wasn't accepted to (Michigan, which is a very expensive OOS school), so now to try to get it transferred.
 
Still boarded...assuming that the updates have been posted out west. Looks like we're a no go on the award. Darn. Congrats to everyone who was successful.

I would also say that "kiss of death" is probably not a good description (not trying to be harsh here). There are still likely to be more scholarship offers made. I expect every school to have an additional 3 year offer they will be able to make. There may also be some JROTC and West Point non select offers made. And there will likely be campus offers to be made next fall and spring. This is not the end, it's the time to move to phase 2 of the operation.

Hi Clarksonarmy, Can you tell me what the West Point non select offers are? Does this mean USMA applicants that have been rejected fall into a different category for scholarships? Does Cadet Command know who received the rejection letters? Thanks for your help!

I don't think he was already logged in. Will double check. Am I correct to assume that they would all change at once, and not throughout the day?
 
Just keep checking for at least the next hour or so. Looks like they did the upload just toward the end of the work day back at Knox. It may take a little time for all the uploads to connect to the individual applicants pages.

And if everyone jambs the system at once it will crash and you'll have to wait until Monday for the IT dept to reset everything. Not that that ever happens

Last year a few West Point candidates that were not selected for WP were then notified that they had received an Army ROTC scholarship. IIRC, there was at least one that had not even applied for a ROTC scholarship. USMA and ROTC share information. Cadet Command can see good candidates that did not receive appointments and choose to select them for scholarships.
 
How does requesting a transfer work? DS received 4 year scholarship to 2 schools but not his #1 choice. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
