AROTC First board 2024-2025

Boarded/ under consideration here. Bummed but not incredibly surprised. Strong but not the strongest scores, but incredibly well rounded and in a bunch of leadership positions including several in his JROTC program. He’s wanted have a career in the military since he was three.

For round two is there any way to make the application stronger? I don’t think they review it again? Also does anyone know if they can choose different schools before the next board if they decide to pursue a different school?
I think you can change schools up til the spring, but once the app is scored it’s set. You can make updates but the score won’t change.

Just got 4 year Scholarship: Notre Dame, Dartmouth and UVA
35 ACT; 4.2 GPA; strong Rugby and Lacrosse and National Ski Patrol
God is good - Don't forget that 75% of awards are given at board 2 and 3
can rest of us still get it from this board? Heard it can switch

Congrats
Also, he won the NROTC 4-yr last week. (Also Boys State).
Congrats on that win! That's great. My DS has his heart set on Army. So this is a bit of a blow. Thankfully we still have two boards, but the wait is going to be difficult. He interviews for AFROTC next week. I wish we hadn't taken the PMS word at face value about being shocked if he didn't get a scholarship first time around. He told DS that he had the best file he has seen in the 17 years he has been doing this.

Sorry to hear, right there with you. Director at top school told me I was a “shoe in” and here I am B/UC.

Seeing a lot of stellar stats getting B/UC, I wonder how much more competitive and/or bigger this year's October board applicant pool was.
