I have seen/heard vague information about changes to ROTC OML but I was wondering if anyone has any facts. Does anyone know how much GPA is worth and how much PT and Camp are worth now? I heard a rumor that GPA is only worth 15 percent now. could this possibly be true?

Haven't seen anything in writing but here's what DS heard at LTX recently. OML would be based on 50% academic (20% standardized testing, 15% GPA, 5% outside courses (??), and 10% MSIII final), 35% Leadership (25% Cadre Eval, 5% Extra activities (??), 5% cultural/language), and 15% Physical (10.5% APFT and 4.5% Sports/Intramurals). Said the numbers came through PMS from CC. Also noted that rather than 70/30 split for AD/IRR, it would be more like 50/50 in the near term. Again, just reporting what I heard so perhaps others could confirm similar rumblings.

They haven't even released the new curriculum for the MSIII course and it isn't expected to be ready until half way through this year (and it applies to our current MS3's).

Don't expect any solid news on any timely basis. Current cadets will be leaning a lot on adapting to quickly changing situations and making do with what isn't available.

*not a criticism for any sharing of heard information from any source. That's what online forums are about.*

Black belt - that would make sense, as I thought CLC was a non-graded event going forward?

I'm sure that over the next few months, there will be a lot of speculation regarding the new OML structure, as Bull said there is nothing published as of yet.

That being said battalions have most likely been briefed by their CoC.

My son's battalion has been briefed as well, sounds about the same as posted by Blackbelt except they had the GPA and Standardized Test reversed, 20% GPA, 15% Test. I have no doubt there will be reports of different breakdowns before it is published.

I believe Jcc123 is correct, the new summer training CLC is no longer an evaluation, It is where the cadets will take their tests I believe.

One thing that does seem a bit of a surprise is that they have raised the Academic's to 50%, they have broken it apart from the once 40% GPA but still, it seems odd they would reduce the Leadership section.
