Hello all. I'm pretty sure my PMS hasn't uploaded my interview yet, and the deadline for them is tonight I believe. I haven't been able to get a hold of him via email or phone. I've also tried contacting the ROO at WashU in St. Louis who first contacted me on the issue earlier in the week, as well as the ROO of my PMS's school. Any advice would be highly appreciated on how to handle this issue, as it'd really be a shame to miss the second board because of this. Thanks!

I have to voice a gripe here. What on earth is going on with what appears to be some field-grade officers grooming cadets to become commissioned officers who, evidently, are so checked out that they, one, can't bother to conduct, you know, the "PMS" interview for scholarship applicants, and, now, two, are seemingly indifferent to items like uploading an interview for deadline purposes? Do ROTC brigade commanders give guidance and have expectations for stuff like this? To me, it's akin to a college football or basketball coach's recruiting duties, not an insignificant part of the job.

Off soapbox.

I hope it goes well. We had peacefully been planning on the third Army ROTC Board until we found out, very late, that our son could get the Army ROTC scholarship submitted this week. He was able to get his Fitness submitted as well as the PMS interview submitted. His application is complete. Will pray for you as well.

We had an issue with my ds’s top school. Interviewed 2+ weeks ahead of deadline and the interview still wasn’t in as the deadline approached. He had to call several times and leave messages, which he hated doing but it had to be done. He never received a response but the interview did go in right at deadline. After that experience that college went from number 1 on his list to number 7.

My PMS was a great person, and our interview went awesome, but I think the phone number and email listed on the school's site is for work or something, so it's harder to get a hold of him, versus say a cell phone I could call him with.

I consider 3 years to be a lengthy period of time. If a kid hasn’t got a relationship with a teacher or coach at school after 3 years then they have bigger issues to deal with than getting accepted to an academy.

To be fair, my son interviewed with a CPT, and it was uploaded the same day. He seemed very conscientious from what my son said. If given a choice between that or a ROAD LTC (not saying your interviewer was), I would take the former. I hope your interview gets loaded for the second board!

Just a general comment - the SA and ROTC applications have been open for a while now - on the eve of a deadline, the referenced urgency for uploading documents in 10 business days or less, primarily, seems to be caused by all the rest of the application not getting completed earlier. This angst and situation is largely avoidable. This is the military - trying to force your timeline of when you want things done onto it is like pushing a rope - you can put energy into it but you're not going to get a lot out of it. So for future deadlines jump on whatever it is you need to do - DODMERB, paperwork, etc. Good job on staying diligent /Good luck all.

I had my interview actually before the right before the first board, and then my PMS was on Winter Break for a while. I did my part to the best of my ability getting stuff ready for him in a timely manner. I didn't force any timeline on him, I just would have expected to have some good communication on his part to get this taken care of.

If he is on winter break he may, in fact, be off somewhere busy being an active duty officer. When we tried to reach out to DS's freshman adviser. during the summer prior to start of freshman year, it took a while to hear back. Turns out he was in Afghanistan. Keep on it with the PMS but keep in mind there may very well be legitimate reasons why this didn't happen... if it didn't.
