AROTC Third Board Boarded?

Don't worry, if you are being reviewed by the third board for the first time, you might not be boarded yet. Once they review your file you will switch from board ready to boarded. Anyone reviewed at previous boards will already read boarded and they will not be reviewed again, but remain on the OML list and will still be considered for a scholarship.

My son was boarded after his PMS interview prior to the 2nd board

The portal changes to "board ready" after the PMS interview, I believe that is what happened to your son before the 2nd board met. The portal does not change to boarded until the file has been reviewed by the board. I believe the poster is asking about going from "board ready" to "boarded". If you look at the threads during the 2nd board, posters were coming on as their status would switch. It can happen anytime during this week.
 
Just got boarded today, does anyone know when we should hear back if we receive a scholarship? And also do we receive a rejection notification if we dont?

At least two weeks from when the board in concluded, could be longer. You won't receive a rejection notice right away, if you are not selected your status will remain "Boarded". Sometime later there will be a change that states that you were not selected, that occurred around May in the past, though could be different now as things seem to change all the time.
