Ask a Doolie!

I understand M days and T days. Can you share info on the schedule?

1. breakdown of the start and end times of each academic period for the school day
2. start of each "go" period for the semester
3. when does academic call to quarters start

Thanks!

This is probably still pretty accurate. Some courses will span two periods.

I don't know what you mean by a "go" period.

Thanks @AFrpaso. This seems like the schedule for prep school. I was under the impression that there were more periods than 3 at USAFA. Maybe a current cadet can inform us.
So it is, my apologies. That's what I get for glancing. . .

Here's the real answer from the Course of Instruction Handbook (pg. 34). Lots of good info in that handbook if you want to get into the nitty-gritty details.

Thanks @Peter2025 . How many "go" periods are there in a semester? Are they scheduled like regular classes?
"Go's" are just a set of ten lessons. A class could be scheduled for one go, PE classes for example, or even for two or three for some other classes. There are 4 go's per semester (1-10,11-20,21-30,31-40)

Start is of school is 7:30 am. Classes are 53 mins with 7 min period to get to the next class. Depending on if we name noon meal formation lunch is at 11:30 or 12. After lunch class starts at 12:45 and goes to 3:38.

B go starts somewhere around sept. 6, C is first week in October, and D go is Nov.7.

Academic call to quarters begins at 7:50
