My son’s friend got a four year full ride for Air Force ROTC!

Top ten of his class - West Point, USNA, and four year AFROTC. Not bad.

My daughter just received a Type 7. I am so happy for her, she doesn’t want to go to school instate but she has options and the three year type 2. Congrats to all others that got the email.

it means that he can use the scholarship at any state for full tuition. type 7 is full tuition for in-state

Type 1 is full tuition regardless of cost.
Type 2 is up to 18K tuition and you can pay the difference
~ IE If it is 22K you just pay the difference
Type 7 pays only to the equivalent of IS. You cannot pay the difference
~ IE if IS tuition cost is 17K, and you want to go OOS, if the school charges your IS cost than you can use the scholarship. If it is more than the IS than you cannot use it. TAMU as an example, if you get at least 1K in scholarships, than they will charge you IS cost regardless of which state you are from.

My daughter received a type 7 technical AFROTC scholarship as well The school she is choosing will give her in state tuition and pay for housing. Which means she’s getting a full ride. Good luck everyone!!
