Does USMMA send a contingent of mids to away football games similarly to the D1 service academies?

In these days of COVID, hard to say. They definitely take everyone to games at arch rival Coast Guard Academy (attendance required), but likely nowhere else.

They took a bunch to SUNY Maritime on the Kings Pointer this year.

The default answer is NO, but there are cases where mids travel to games as part of an official contingent. When not an official trip, upperclassman can generally go if they want to find their way to the event.

SUNY Maritime is just across the bay and is easy for a contingent to cross the bay on training vessels. It helps that SUNY has a marina dock for large boats because.... well, they are another Maritime Academy.

CGA is the big rival and is the one mandatory away game that the entire regiment attends. Some travel by boat, but the majority travel by charter bus.

The bowl game this year is being considered for another contingent - primarily because it is semi-local and half the distance the group traveled to USCGA.

USAFA trip to Hawaii was coveted back in the day.

Yep - but is certainly helps that you have access to the "fleet" of aircraft. It still blows my mind that I could call Peterson AFB as a cadet and request a sortie to fly my club team anywhere, anytime. Little did I know that those planes are flying every day - but empty, and it is actually a taxpayer savings when they have a "mission" to fly passengers where they need to go.
