I was at the games this weekend and that was a fun regional to watch. It has been a bit since I have been that fired up watching a game, but that 5th inning on Sunday was an absolute rollercoaster of an hour.

No. 3 Alabama softball beats No. 2 UCLA 6-0 for the first time in program history as Montana Fouts throws a perfect game.

Doc, she threw a lights out game. Even if UCLA had played perfect defense, Bama was the better team last night. Bama does look like the team to beat this year, but there's a lot of series left.

Having said that...how about JMU? That 7th inning was a game all to itself!

I watched the Dukes game and went to bed before the Bama game was over. Fouts' last two games have been amazing. She's a junior.

JMU is probably the best place to go to college that nobody has heard of. That 7th inning had me going nuts.

No doubt. Lots of softball to play and if a team beats either Bama or JMU twice at this point then they are for sure the best team in the tournament.

The premature but funny thing being asked by Bama people: Is Alabama ruining college softball.
