So I just recieved a nomination from my Senator, and my application is complete, (including DoDMERB). So Basically I just have some questions about the last step in the process...waiting.

1. I recieved a letter stating "The Admissions Board has reviewed your record and has determined you are board qualified to compete for an appointment to the U.S. naval Academy class of 2015. I am pretty sure this means that I have completed my application nothing more. Basically, this does NOT mean I am 3 Qd right?

2. I understand the deadline to hear is in April, any chance I will hear before that or is that unusual.

thanks.

Yes, it means you are "scholastically" qualified. However, if you've submitted your CFA and haven't been told to retake it (because you failed), you can assume you've passed. And you'll know if you've passed your medical. If both of those are complete, you are triple Q'ed.

Most candidates who receive appointments hear in February or March. Some hear in April. By April 15, every candidate should know whether he/she was accepted, turned down, or waitlisted.
