BCT advice/questions

Attitude may be the most important feature. Remember the team concept, be a good wingman/woman, keep positive and find something to be happy about. These are friendships that will last a lifetime, you're all in it together and thousands have made it through. My son always kept a positive attitude and actually enjoyed parts of BCT. He has enjoyed most of his time at the academy and wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

Also remember, most of the cadre are just a few years older than you. They are learning too and some will be better than others. Some will be more fair but life just isn't fair, especially in BCT.

Bailey,

No doubt it is crazy hard, but it's not without some lighthearted moments too. Both of my children took advice to find the fun where they could... More than once cadre had to turn away to keep from breaking out laughing, and the extra push-ups my kids earned were well worth it they say. Good luck!

This is really good advice. Find the fun where you can. You will be amazed at what silly stuff becomes fun and entertaining. My roomies and I would make up funny chants to greet the cadre with when passing them on the Tzo. Sometimes we'd get stopped and "trained" and sometimes they would just tell us we were having too much fun.

Good to know! I know USAFA will be difficult, but I am expecting to have the best time of my life there (IF I get appointed of course...still waiting for that blessed news!).
