Beast itinerary

Do they tell you all you're bulletproof at the beginning or the end? :yllol:

They never said anything like that but I can guarantee you that 13 weeks at Parris Island was a whole lot harder than BCT at any of the Service Academies.

Maximus, come reel your boy in...he took the bait!

A man who defines himself by his basic training doesn't have much else to talk about, I guess  But yes, SA basic training is not the hardest thing on earth, that's for sure. But the end goals are different, aren't they?

Say, you haven't changed a lightbulb around here lately have you?

Awww, now don't go getting all boo-boo lipped and ruining a thread. Don't you know any good Army jokes? There's a million out there.

Apparently you missed out on the running Marine joke I have with Maximus. I'm sure he'll fill you in though. It's all in good fun....you know, GUY STUFF.

DD, I was kind of leading him on, it's all good. We've bantered back and forth about the difference in training and he's "trying" to rib me when we all know Marines are the toughest people out there :thumb:

Semper Fi!

Hey, Just_A_Mom: My wife and I are thinking of coming up early for A-Day to see our daughter march back. Any suggestions for filling the time between march back and A-Day?

Thanks!

If your going to make it to NYC then see the Broadway show Wicked. It's awesome!

Adding to the 'things to do in NYC' theme -

Agree about Wicked - LOVED it!!!!
The Addams Family is a must see too, especially if you are old enough to remember the TV show.

I have always loved the Letterman show, but was disappointed in actually going to it. Maybe it was the lame lineup of guests that afternoon, but it somehow ruined watching it at home again.

If you have never been to NYC - take one of those bus tours where you can hop on- hop off. It's a great way to get an overview of the city.

We usually make a trip to NYC most every time we visit West Point. We will stay in the West Point area and take the train from Garrison to Grand Central. The train ride is very beautiful - rolls right along the Hudson. Takes about an hour. Usually cheaper to stay in the West Point area and take the train than to stay in NYC.
