Benefits of NROTC Interview at first choice?

Hello all,

I have a quick question. I am currently in a massive time crunch of trying to complete the NROTC application, and within that, trying to complete the officer interview.

Last week I contacted my first choice school regarding the interview, say School A, and haven't heard back. However, I have reason to believe that my 2nd/3rd choice school, say School B, is much more responsive and could perhaps squeeze me in for an interview in time.

I was wondering what are the benefits of interviewing at your first choice school, besides gaining familiarity, etc? Also, should I go ahead and contact School B for the interview, or see if School A responds on Monday?

Thanks!

Do it wherever you want. DS did it at Recruiting District Headquarters for Marine Option. Doing it at #1 allows you to ask specific questions about the program at that college, but how you're evaluated isn't really going to change. There are other folks here who feel it's a mistake not to interview at the #1 college. YMMV. I say, wo what yo have to do. I'd call college A first, before calling college B, on Monday. Time is short. Pwoplw will be disappearing for the holidays.

Thanks for the response! Given the time crunch, I went ahead and contacted School B, which responded in only a few hours confirming the time/date I requested.
