BFE....when?

Holding my breath right now, there is a mailpiece without a pic on my USPS informed delivery which is arriving today. It's a long shot to assume its a BFE but I can always hope!
 
I am waiting as well for the BFE (congresswoman called to inform me of the appointment on Friday) but just checked the mailbox and it has not arrived yet. Hopefully the other candidates and I who are apart of the first wave receive it tomorrow along with the portal update! Best wishes to all waiting for the appointment tomorrow and those waiting in general!
 
When is the appointment official? When accepted through the Portal or when the BFE is received? I would think when accepted on the portal, at that point you have been appointed and you have accepted?

Both are official. ;)
But your acceptance is through the portal :thumb:
 
West Point Parents Facebook says the BFEs were “just mailed” on February 7. Might be today, might not... but I hope it is today!

Nope, I waited by my mailbox for the postman and she said 2-day priority mail doesn’t count weekends. And because West Point mailed them out on Friday, they post office there probably received them too late to be mailed out. They might just got out today and be here tomorrow.

ohhhh gotcha, I guess that would make sense because portals are supposed to update tomorrow as well

But you are suppose to receive BFE before portal update... USMA really screwed up this year
And I still haven’t received a call from my MOC, my friend who got a nom from the same MOC received a call on Friday but I got the principal nom... things just can’t be explained

Huh, that's strange...did you get that portal glitch thing on feb 6? I didn't but I'm still holding out hope!😬

I did, I saw the congrats now on the portal and received the email as well. Did you received the email from USMA?

yes, I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm not sure how much that email means in regard to my candidacy

Up to each MOC. And sometimes a MOC will and sometimes she or he won’t. So, it is a waste of time guessing what will happen even if some history with a given MOC suggests a particular approach.

The portal should update tomorrow. I got a call as from my congressman as well and he told me I shouldn’t see my offer on the portal until the 11th. 😀
