Hi guys! I logged into my USNA portal to check if everything was in for the deadline and saw that the BGO interview isn't checked off. I had my interview back in mid-September and clearly remember being checked off around a week later saying that they have received my interview. I'm so confused about what has happened. I didn't think there would be an expiration date(?) to the interview and I also consistently logged onto my portal remembering it being checked off on the list (the last time seeing it checked off was probably last week). Is there anything I can do before the deadline today or should I just withdraw my application?

Just call Admissions to follow up. Or use the live chat widget. You know you did it. The BGO knows you did it. It’s a recoverable thing. The deadline is for things the applicant controls.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. I called admissions, they took my name, and had it fixed and updated in the portal in about an hour. I’d give them a call tomorrow morning.

What everyone above has already said. And if it makes you feel better, my son was told by his admissions counselor that the application portal is just for the applicant. It isn’t necessarily what the admissions office sees on their end. So sometimes things don’t get pushed out to the portal but the admissions office sees it on their side. Or in your case something disappears from your view but it really isn’t gone. Definitely follow up, but no need to panic.

If you have done all you can and completed all things within your power you now have to just sit back and wait.

Please don’t withdraw your application that’s just crazy talk. Make them tell you no.
