My DS has applied to USNA an USMA, completed both of the interviews but the BGO for USNA has requested a second interview this time meeting myself and my husband. Is this normal to complete 2 interviews? And if so what is the attire and how formal is it for the parents meeting the BGO? My DS wore a suit for his 1st interview, just curious on how to be prepared for tomorrow evening.

I was going to post "it depends on if it's at your home or at a public place", but I see people all the time out in public in their pajamas.
Consider it casual. You're not interviewing for anything, so don't overthink it. Your BGO is probably just making sure that you're on board with what DS is planning to do.

Perfect, It is at the BGO's home, we live in adjacent neighborhoods. Thanks for the reply.

There are many older threads on this topic, so you might look for those as well. I agree the BGO interview is far more casual then the MOC NOM interviews. Wearing good casual clothing is fine for the BGO interview regardless of where you are meeting.

Wonder if your DS said somehting that would make the BGO question the parental influence in the process? Good luck no matter what.

No, because another classmate had an interview and he is interviewing parents on Saturday. Maybe he likes to have a feel of the family dynamics.

Our BGO also came to our house too. I think they want to make sure the whole family understands the commitment and that your DS/DD is truly making this decision on their own but with support.
