Hello,

How long does it normally take for a BGO to input our interview into the system? I had my interview on the week of September 11th and I am still waiting for the checkmark on my portal. Should I reach out?
Thank you!

Remember BGOs are an all volunteer force and many work full time. We are encouraged to write a complete, thoughtful, accurate write up post the interview.

Give it a little bit more time would be my counsel to you. I would also say, if you haven’t already, send a polite thank you email to your BGO for their time for your interview.

I have advised DS to check with Admissions first. . .What is the status of everything not checked. The reason is to see if the BGO Interview (or anything else lacking) has been submitted. At that point, it is patience. If it has not been submitted, I have recommended a polite follow up thank you to the BGO (I assume a first thank you was already sent). In the follow up, a gentle query as to the submission can be added.

Allow for the fact Admissions may have it, but it is not yet visible in the applicant-facing portal, which I think your first step does by suggesting checking with Admissions.

I always suggest allowing 3-4 business weeks before checking. It won’t be overlooked, because it’s one of the things Admissions takes a look at along the way as a f2f check. To get to an appointment decision, there are multiple parallel and intersecting internal processes. It is not one look and done, and if file not complete, too bad. If Admissions decides they need it, they know who to ask, and it’s only bad for the candidate if the candidate has made no effort to schedule.

Don’t forget a candidate can hop on the live chat via the chat widget on the regular Admissions web page (NOT the portal). It’s usually held midday ET. Have candidate number handy.

Yes, that was in fact what I was suggesting. . .Before you bother anyone else, check with admissions. If they confirm they do not have it then you can follow up with the BGO.
