Has anyone had experience with a change in Blue Gold Officers after a formal interview was completed? If so can you share any insight on why it occured so late in the process. Thank in advance for any information you can provide.

Was you interview submitted ? If so, don't worry about it. There are a number of reasons that an Area Coordinator will change the BGO assignments.
 
My DS's BGO was on active duty and was transferred overseas immediately after the interview. A new officer was assigned. Bear in mind all BGOs are volunteers and have families, jobs, obligations, lives, etc. Changes happen in people's lives and things occur. Also, area coordinators assign BGOs to their schools and 'areas', so a change may have occurred there.
Out of your control. If the interview box is checked in your application, you are good to go. Nothing you can do but wait and be patient.
 
DS had his initial BGO Interview back in August. 2-3 weeks later there was one day when his portal had a check next to BGO Interview - complete. That evening, he got a call from another BGO asking him to schedule his BGO interview with him. Checked the portal, and his BGO Interview was an X again. Had the 2nd BGO interview a week later. The person that conducted his 2nd BGO interview is not the BGO that is assigned in the portal - he contacted that BGO and was assured that his 2nd BGO interview was good, although the interviewer was never officially assigned to him in the portal.

It was not or hasn’t show in the portal. Previous BGO explained it would be submitted this week. A day later the email with the change arrived.
