Hi all, I'm a senior in high school who has wanted to be accepted into the service academies before I even knew what college planning meant. I am currently in Natal Brazil as a foreign exchange student right now, and I'm experiencing the interesting proposition of attempting to complete the service academies from 6000 miles away from my home... these forums have been very helpful, and I am glad to have finally become an active member in them.

Wow! Good luck w/ that! Which academy are you most interested in?

I'm most interested in the Air Force Academy, as I want to fly and it is close to home. However Coast Guard Academy is quickly rising towards the top as well, because my grandfather served as a coastie in ww2, and my cousin graduated from the coast guard academy, and she is now serving as a coast guard lawyer.
