Board ready?

DS 's AROTC portal shows him as board ready. The box for his interview has been checked, but he hasn't had his interview yet. It is scheduled for Monday. Has anyone else had this issue?

That is not how it has worked for either of my boys. I would send an email to your scholarship technician asking them about it.

I thought so. I will have him send an email today.
 
Update: DS was informed that an interview had been recorded on his behalf by someone DS has never met or spoken to. He is trying to unravel it all and get the correct interview recorded. I hope this all gets straightened out before Oct 9th and I also hope another candidate isn't missing their interview in their portal.

That is so strange. My first thought was also that they mixed up two interviewees which I could see happening. I can't remember reading about anything like that in the few years I've been on this board. My current applicant watched his interviewer fill out the interview form (no idea what it looks like except what he described) in the portal during the interview. I'm guessing most interviewers do not do that but it was really nice for my ds. I hope it gets straightened out for your ds...sounds like they are on it.

He talked to his interviewer and he told DS that his name wasn't listed this morning when he went to upload the form. It wasn't there because his interview is listed as complete. He said he would work with cadet commander to get it straightened out and get back with DS. The other interview was from a Notre Dame LTC, so I think it's definitely possible that someone is missing their interview in their portal. I'm just glad it's getting straightened out before the deadline.
 
What probably happened is when the PMS went in to enter the interview he accidentally clicked on the wrong name. That is one reason why I always recommend you try to interview at a school on your list If possible. It‘s not always possible and not required, but if you aren’t a ”known quantity” and the program isn’t keeping a close eye on your status this could happen. I would say it is probably pretty rare, but if it was one of my applicants who was listing one of my schools I probably would have caught it before the applicant did.

My DS interviewed with his top school, but it's definitely possible the candidate who's interview ended up under my son's name didn't. His interviewer contacted DS yesterday and told him he had contracted cadet command and they finally understand the situation. He said that he made sure they would unlock his portal for him to enter his interview information and he would personally let DS know that it was complete before Oct 9th. We are very thankful that he is on top of things and going above and beyond to fix a problem that he didn't create.

I hope this got resolved (or will be by Monday)!!
 
Currently the incorrect interview has been removed and sitting at interviewee status. Really hoping the holiday today doesn't prevent the PMS from remembering to submit his interview. An email has been sent and we are waiting to hear. Nervous!

Yes! The first board may be a long shot for my DS, but his application isn't going to change before the next two boards. It's worth a shot! Good luck to your DS and all the applicants. It would be nice to have plan B in their pockets.
