Rumor has it today could be the day... Let us know if you hear anything and best of luck to those waiting!

A lot of cadets are posting their Branches on Reddit right now, hopefully you'll hear news soon.

Best of luck.

Amen to that Jcleppe .... Between DS#1 going to Captain Career Course at Ft Benning and DS # 3 going to IBOLC , looks like more vacation trips to as my wife calls it, our summer home, Columbus, GA. are in our future.

I can relate to that for sure. Younger son is at Ft. Rucker Flight School and the other is at SOF Career Course at Ft. Bragg. At least they're on the same side of the country now, older son used to be in Hawaii. Already planning the next trip to the South East.

Excellent Jcleppe, I wish both your sons the best! Now ... just wondering where DS #2 will end up after he PCS's from Japan in the spring?

DS got first choice Armor and detail Military Intelligence. Also attending George C Marshall Awards and Leadership Seminar in Fort Leavenworth

Been a great ride thus far!

I believe that would be Military Intelligence with a branch detail for Armor.

Congratulations to your son.

No, he was top ten percent on oml so he said he couldn't ADSO. All Greek to me

Ok, nice job on his part by the way.

I only asked because you mentioned 3 years AR and 4 years MI which would equal the 7 years required by an Branch ADSO. Your son would still be able to leave the Army after 4 years even with the Branch detail, they will add some years if he goes to the MI Captain's Career Course.

Congratulations to him on a great job and getting his Branch choice.

Is branching similar to AFROTC in anyway? Is it done the year of commissioning? I'm curious. Are there two separate boards- one for branching and another for active/reserve/guard?
