When does Plebe summer end for '25 Plebes? Parents weekend is tentatively scheduled for Aug 12-15th and then classes start Aug 23rd. What do the Plebes do doing week between P/W and Class start?

When does Plebe summer end for '25 Plebes? Parents weekend is tentatively scheduled for Aug 12-15th and then classes start Aug 23rd. What do the Plebes do doing week between P/W and Class start?

Run around the last few days of PS before the Brigade Reform like crazy people moving from plebe year rooms to ac year rooms in company spaces, getting even more issue stuff including books, getting a first glimpse of their ac year schedule, going to briefings, etc. They won’t have town liberty. It’s usually a time when they realize PS was not so bad after all as they face the enormous grind of 8 more semesters bearing down on them, along with the return of thousands of upperclass and a towering pile of plebe pro stuff to know and do.

My DS got treated to a muster-at-0530-wet-and-sandy on the first day of classes, Plebe year. His company has something of a tradition with that one. They have done it every year.

What do the Plebes do doing week between P/W and Class start?

Keep in mind that plebe summer does not end with parents weekend. During DD’s plebe summer (pre-covid edition), they were reminded of that fact by being “destroyed” (DD’s term) the following Monday. Just a friendly reminder that there were several days of plebe summer left.

There’s also the shock and stress of suddenly being surrounded by a lot more upperclassmen, plus the prospect of the academic year starting. While it may be a relief that plebe summer is done, it’s not necessarily a relaxing time.
