C/O '26 parents - place to commiserate and share. Roller coaster for the next 3 years!

Someone educate me, please. Received a vague text last night. What does it mean when you mid says, “just got back from the sub dive”?

I do know it wasn’t an actual submarine.
SCUBA club? A class lab? Submarine sandwich?

Nice short visit this weekend. He's working through the emotional roller-coaster he had near Valentine's Day, and the freakout we had that he might quit seems to have passed (hopefully!!).

He's looking forward to hearing about his summer training that they find out about later this week. Would like to do a sub cruise, and maybe something on the Yard like STEM or NASS. But I don't think he would be happy if he gets YPs again.

Spring Break starts this weekend!!

Mine is at the airport, coming home for the break. A pleasant (and expensive) surprise! 😍
Same here! Gaelic Football has their national championship next weekend in Utah so we got the surprise “I’m coming home, can you drive me up” call a month ago. Since kid’s doing something all three blocks this summer and not coming home we suspect there was a little guilt on their part;) Regardless, we’ll take it!

Summer training block info coming out at 3!

Kid is heading home after that along with a buddy who he's going to take to Dulles later in the evening. Warned him that the littlest dude is probably going to want to hang out with them. :p
Didn’t get the cruise she wanted. 🎢 again

Go into YP’s with an open mind. My oldest had the best time on them! Pulling into ports and spending time in neat places. They got airbnbs. Some interesting stories coming out of those trainings 🧙😈🍱🛟⚓

They get a bad rap, but ended up being one of my sons best memories. And he actually had to go on one in lieu of his firstie cruise bc the cruise was cancelled due to covid.

As with most things, the right attitude goes a long way.
