Michael,
Again, what is your goal? AD Army as an O1 at 18, or Educational Delay for grad school?
I get you want to go AROTC.
to become a army person
@Pima
Again, this is why I believe you are not ready for ROTC right now.
My opinion is based on some of your other posts regarding how little research you have done.
~ Single Male in the household
~ How do I get drafted
~ Army person.
Look, I get you are learning, and I do not mean to be harsh. I am just pointing out that you should do some more research. Read threads regarding your career choices, read threads about the difference between AD, Reserve and Guard when it comes to owing back time. Read threads about how they decide these choices.
I am just looking at your 1st posts, and I immediately thought you were a troll because you asked how do I get drafted? The Army person and not military member or soldier says/screams to me you need to learn more if you want to be a successful cadet.
I would also say at 14 , you need to talk to the folks. Most units, if not all, will have mandatory PT starting at 6 or 6:30 2x a week at the unit. There is no I will go to the Y and do it when it fits my schedule. LLAB for my DS was on a different day at 2 p.m. Both are mandatory. When he became POC (jr in college), he was also required to attend staff meetings, this is where they would review the progress of the younger cadets (GMC). PT for his unit was 6:30, but because of his position, and his unit they did those meeting at 5:30.
~ At your age, IF you are given a position like this, and because you commute, than somebody is driving you at 5 a.m. due to the fact you don't have a license.
