In the section of the application where you check boxes for all of the sports you play, it says "identify those sports in which you participated during grades 10, 11, and 12 only." Would I select sports that I know I am playing next year, even though technically I haven't participated in them yet. For example, I am running cross country next year as a senior. Does this mean that I should check the 12th grade box for that sport? I know it might be a stupid question but I want to be very careful!

I don't think it's a dumb question, because:
A)I have the same exact question
B) We have a pandemic going on and we currently don't know if we'll even have a XC Season, or track for that matter, or if you'll get injured before the season starts.
I would recommend waiting for more information and filling out the other forms.

From the email I got from my admissions counselor last week: "Before filling out the 147 make a list of all your extracurricular activities, make sure to annotate the activities you plan on participating in your senior year. ". So...yes, based on that. It's always good to double check, so if you got a similar email I'd look at that. My counselor cited it as from the candidate booklet, though, so I'd bet it's what you're supposed to do

Like most people, my tennis season was cancelled last spring, but I am wondering if I should still mark off tennis for 11th grade along with captain.
I have been captain since sophomore year and this year I organized team zooms (before we knew the season was cancelled) and organized a socially distant senior night.
I feel like I should be able to select captain on the activity list but I’m not sure if this counts. Does anyone have any advice?

I'd say best thing is to talk to your admissions counselor, given it's a problem many people are bound to have, that's likely your best source for guidance.
Quick question about Advisor ALO. Below my contact for USAFA Counsoler there is another contact for Liason Officer. Is that my advisor ALO or should I look somewhere else for that contact?

I haven't had the chance to contact my ALO at all, I've been asking all questions to my counselor, who first reached out to me via email shortly after I filled out the PCQ. That's why I would suggest contacting your counselor at first, but I think maintaining communication with your ALO becomes more important later on in the process.

For those of you who have had a multi-year commitment, which includes more than just your sophomore year up, are you talking about your experiences before 10th grade? It would seem weird to talk about my most recent experiences without talking about the experiences that led up to my current responsibilities. ie. being a scout since middle school or working your way up the lineup on a swim team.

I think they just mean freshman year. Alot of freshman at my school are on varsity teams, not just a freshman varsity but varsity.

Yes, that is your Advisor ALO. Your evaluator ALO won't show up for a while.

Also, here's a quick rule of thumb for Admissions Counselors vs. ALOs:

If it's a question about how to fill out the application (should I mark this, can this person administer a CFA, can I change this information, where should I say this, does this past canceled season count, etc.); it's for your Admissions Counselor.

If it's a question about what you should do (how should I train for the CFA, what classes should I take, how should I prepare for congressional interviews, what does USAFA look for in an appointee, etc.) it's for your ALO.
