I'm also a USAFA c/o '16 applicant and I've yet to receive a candidate kit even though a letter and multiple emails sent to me said that I would get one. :confused: Do any of you have suggestions on how I can get one because the application is now at a standstill for me?
 
Still waiting.....The application process as far as I can tell isn't moving. I have to wait until the 10th to contact the swim coach again. It would be nice if they would define...Early August at the latest....as it states on my application page. Is that by the 5th, the 10th, the 15th... I am perplexed at this point. I will continue to check every day.

your not alone haha. I don't have mine either along with others. :thumbdown:

I actually don't mind since I have to work on other stuff too.
 
I called and was told that the first candidate kits will go out around the middle of August. Of course I don't know what that means either. They also said that they have a new system. so good luck to everyone!
 
Well at least USAFA is looking at my physical now. I was qualified by USNA, and didn't realize that it had to be qualified by all branches you apply too. Very interesting. I am anxiously awaiting the USAFA review results, among other things USAFA.
 
my anxiety has now been put to rest (temporarily)! :biggrin:
 
Recieved Candidate Kit Today!

I was an applicant for the Class of 2015 and am now reapplying for the Class of 2016 and I just got my Candidate Kit today. Unfortunately, none of my information from last year tranferred to this year's application. I know some of it you have to redo again, but I also know that somethings transfer over like SAT/ACT scores, DoDMERB results, etc. Does anyone know why none of this information has transferred over yet?

The Admissions office are using a new online application system starting this year - its possible that one of the 'kinks' they're experiencing includes the delay of information transfer provided from last year for this year. Give it a couple days and if it still hasn't shown up yet give Admissions a call. :thumb:

I called my admissions counselor, Ms. Renita Menchion, and asked her if she could see to it that my letters of recommendation could be carried over from last year. She told me that no, they could not be, and that nothing from last year except DoDMERBs will carry over at all, and that we will have to request all new transcripts, resubmit letters, etc.
 
Yeah ill see ya at nwp! So how come we can't access our usaf drug and alcohol abuse statements yet? Its literally the last thing I have to submit out of everything I can submit now, but for some reason it is greyed out...
 
If you read the fine print, it says that it will be available on the 15th of August.
