Candidate Portal (Nominations Recieved) question

On the USMA Application Overview page under nominations recieved is a green icon, a code and todays date. Could this mean there is a nomination that we don't know about yet? My daughter recieved a letter form the Congressman that she was not nominated, but has not heard from the two Senators yet.

When my son received a JROTC nomination, that's where it showed up. What "code" is on you daughter's page?

I would bet that yes she has a nomination. Congratulations! I am surprised she didn't at least get a letter yet.

This is a fantastic opportunity for her to call her Regional Commander in the admission office. PM me if you don't know who that person is. She should give him a call, confirm that she has a nomination and go from there. Showing interest counts!

My son has the opposite issue! We're from Missouri also. He was notified last month by his Congressman that he was receiving his nomination. The letter said he would be forwarding the nomination paperwork to USMA.

The candidate portal isn't showing the nomination yet. I'm not sure how long that takes, but waiting is difficult!!!

(We haven't heard from either of our Senators yet.)

MOC's have until Jan 31st to submit their slates to the academies.

I emailed someone in admissions and found out today that she recieved a senatorial nomination. Still haven't recieved a letter from either senator's office so I don't know which one, but I guess it doesn':t matter.

Our Senators wont send out notices until the end of January..

Same thing happened to us last week, Ski_mom. Son saw the update on his on-line AFA app on Monday...Senator's office called Thurs. evening to congratulate him...letter from Senator's office arrived on Friday. I'd expect you'll be hearing something very soon.
Congrats! He's got a nomination
