Candidate Visit Day

I suspect the answer is no, but should I bring my ROTC PT gear for CVW?
You may want to be prepared to workout. Friend of DD went last weekend and he was able to participate in Friday am training at 0600 which was ground fighting and he loved. Individual time for afternoon workouts may depend on the schedule of the plebe with whom you are paired. If you want to join a training workout I am sure there is an opportunity, just ask.

Hi, I got invited to a CVW and I was just curious if anyone who's done, had suggestions as to what to bring, or like dress code and stuff about that?

Tons of discussion about this, use the search function and you will find it. Or Google.

I went to CVW in October this year, you don't need to pack heavy. If your doing the overnight bring a pillow and blanket for your cot, which is what you'll be sleeping in. Bring a change of athletic clothes and a more formal outfit (nothing crazy, for girls maybe nice pants and a blouse, guys khaki pants and a polo). You'll be pretty busy following around your assigned midshipmen, it goes by pretty quickly.

Side note: I personally did not think to do this, but some of the drags brought cookies or snacks with them to give to their Mids. I offered to pay for our doordashed dinner instead lol. They have really busy schedules so just be appreciative of the time they spend with you :)

Much to my DS's embarrassment I had him pack some homemade chocolate chips cookies in his overnight bag and he begrudgingly admitted they were a hit. I had read about it on this forum and think this is worthy of repeating. Later when my son was at the Navy store, another mid bought him a shirt (he had money with him but she just put it on her account). Good karma goes a long way.
