Candidate Visit Weekend

I was invited to the Candidate Visit Weekend hosted by the Naval Academy and I wasn't sure if it would be helpful to go. I already went to the Summer Seminar. Also, I have one of my nomination interviews on the same day as the visit weekend, so would they be able to accommodate for my late arrival due to my nomination interview? I would really like to go to the visit weekend but don't want to make it too difficult for admissions to accommodate my situation. Thank you!
 
Reach out to see if admissions can swap dates for you. Since you have been once, priority should go to nomination interview and prepping for that.

My DS attended both NASS and CVW. Both are different and he really enjoyed both as well. I highly recommend it. As far as overlap with the nomination interview, try to schedule it for a different date as not to stress yourself and USNA with accommodations.
 
The best part of CVW for my son was he had his first trial on CFA. I saw your other post regarding your CFA results -- They usually arrange the test in the morning of Saturday (it is optional but it is recorded)

Will there be more opportunities to attend CVW? Right now all the spots for Oct and Nov are filled, will there be another CVW in December/January?

Ask your interviewer to reschedule, let them know what's up. Last year DS had his scheduled on a certain day and his soccer team made it to the district finals on his scheduled interview. He called the Congressman people and the were happy to reschedule.
Just a thought.
 
Our congressman had a Service Academy information day this past weekend and we were told my everyone on his staff that they would schedule the candidate interviews to accommodate a CVW. The are coordinator for the USNA is on the nomination board and specifically said to attend the CVW and they would schedule the interview around the visit.
