Hi, good morning,

I have a question more than a concern, my DS took his first CCFA today but asked me if the sit-ups were supposed to be done with someone holding his feet/ankles. Me as an active duty soldier told him that every APFT I took someone was holding my ankles. So, They didn’t for his class. They did sit-ups by themselves without assistance. Is that something new due to COVID because I know that due to COVID no APFT can be for record until oct 22. Still it bugs me if this was gonna be used for his scholarship qualification.
Thanks in advance

They are doing a modified situp on the CCFA not the situps from the APFT. The CCFA is pass/fail, and the passing standard is relatively low. If a cadet can't pass the CCFA, they definitely won't pass the APFT or ACFT.

I understand it just weird that the demonstration was done with someone holding the cadre’s ankles as he was doing the sit ups but in the actual test all candidate had to do the sit-ups without someone holding their ankles
