CFA Deadline

Applicant for 2026 here, I’m nervous as to how soon before the deadline I can take and submit my CFA scores? For example does it take a while to receive the scores like the SAT scores? If I submit it before November 1st and I pass it, will it still be valid even if they look at it on say November 3rd? after the deadline has passed? It was a struggle to take the CFA earlier due to circumstance so any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.
 
Hey, I'm a 2026 applicant as well

So for the CFA as per the instructions booklet, if I'm correct, you need to submit your scores by the deadline (I would try to get it done before the deadline, however). I would assume this means that scores need to be in before whatever deadline is read on your portal (I would not risk taking the test last second and having scores uploaded a day past your deadline).
CFA scores are received real quick. So once you submit your Candidate Kit your CFA administrator you entered will receive an email about submitting/administering the CFA/Scores. The scores need to be submitted within 48 hours of taking your test so keep that in mind. Once your administrator submits your scores through the email it will immediately transfer to your application and will be a green check on your checklist (the checklist will show up once your candidate kit is submitted).
I just got my CFA and Candidate Kit done today by timing it with my administrator who knew about the 48 hour CFA deadline (took CFA in the morning, submitted Candidate Kit later in the day and administrator immediately uploaded scores once the email was received).

Just to clarify the deadline, the Candidate Kit was due November 1st, however after I submitted it it said "Your deadline for completing the items on the checklist, with the exception of the ALO Interview, Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA), Nomination, and DoDMERB Medical, is 2021-11-01." Does this mean that the first CFA can be submitted after Nov 1st? I'm worried since my proctor hasn't yet received the test materials. I emailed Team Silver and awaiting a response.

There is a possibility it does, but I wouldn't risk that. I would take it before the deadline in case any issues occur. I did also see that the portal said the CFA wasn't due on the deadline, but I would assume the longest you have past that deadline is 2 weeks.

The Instructions to Candidates has a lot of information about the CFA due date.
 
There is so much "angst" here about dates...I have queried USAFA/RRS for a clear answer.

When I receive it, I'll post it.
