Hello,

I have my CFA tomorrow afternoon and while I know there’s a possibility to retake it, I’m still kind of nervous especially with the running events. Does anyone have any final tips?

Being nervous actually is a good thing. The adrenaline will give you a boost, good for a few extra reps and a few less seconds. Get a good night’s sleep, hydrate, and do an adequate warmup before starting. Don’t forget to push “record” on the video camera for pull-ups. And have fun with it!

Read the instructions again so you know what’s going on. It’s important for the person who’s being tested to understand the exact requirements. Remember, the examination administrators are not perfect and they will make mistakes. Mine did not know how to take the videos at all...good thing I watched the whole clip on the instructions and brought my required materials! She also wasn’t sure about the rules for push-ups, so it’s a good thing I read them.

Most important thing is to stay confident because you know you've been training very hard for this. Here are some other tips: take the test on a cool day, ask a friend to be there to help with your sit ups and motivate you, get a ton of sleep the night before, stay hydrated the day before, don't eat a big breakfast, bring water to your exam, wear light material of clothing, take every second of your break to rest and regain your breath, wear a watch while running the mile to pace yourself, and sprint the last 200m of the mile like hell.

My CFA scores are:
B.B. throws-72.9
Pull up-17
40 yard Run-9.72
Crunches-93
Push up-63
1 mile run- 7.16

Do I need to repeat this? Or this is good?
Please advise.
