CFA pending review

Hey all, I've finished everything for my Westpoint app other than 1 teacher evaluation (which will be done by tomorrow). I received an LOE in August, not really related but something I wanted to share.
My question is about the CFA and how long it takes for it to be reviewed. I finished it late September and it still has a yellow action on my portal. I contacted my CFA administrator who assured that he sent it in, and I haven't heard anything back yet from admissions. What does this mean?

also, I'm not 100% sure I emailed the right place, I emailed admissions@westpoint.edu and haven't heard back anything in no a few days.

I agree with MidCakePa. I've heard that the bottleneck is Master of the Sword and or his staff has to review every push-up and pull-up video before it is approved or denied. As you can imagine that could be thousands.

And it’s just what those folks dreamed of doing in their careers…don’t forget all the counting they will be doing too. Endless counting. Then the double-handling of the inevitable candidates who fail to follow instructions in terms of identifying themselves, capturing full view of the motion, etc., adds to the fun, because they have to set those aside and do a follow-up communication for a do-over, and look forward to doing unnecessary work. They are also trying to be fair and consistent, doing quality reviews, which takes time. Let’s hope they have some fun along the way as they perform this vital mission-related task. My hat is off to them. They have set a standard and are doing what it takes to ensure they hold candidates to it.

Does anyone know when West Point started requiring video? And is West Point only SA to require video for CFA?

Last year DS had to re-submit his push-up video. His regional admissions advisor asked DS to email him directly after he uploaded the second video. Have faith. They are processing lots of video and last cycle it appeared that they did it in batches as opposed to individually

Your CFA will stay pending until your file is reviewed by the committee. It will most likely remain pending until after the application deadline when the committee reviews your file for qualification. Mine is still pending and it was also the case for me last year.

Hey all, update to my problem, I realized that I didn't have the proper format for my videos, I neglected to include identification at the beginning of the video! I should have read the instructions more carefully. I contacted my FFR and he said to send it in and he'll take it from there. Hopefully, this was the problem. I also got that SOE in and all I need now is the nomination (and for my videos to be reviewed of course). Thank you all for the help!

I emailed with my admissions rep about a similar thing and they said the CFA portion will stay pending until you are officially offered appointment. If its been successfully submitted and they don't instruct you to do a retake it's likely a pass.

Interesting. My ds's CFA turned green and he was sent a 2Q letter (medical isn't complete). He hasn't been offered an appointment or a LOA. His nomination sources just closed their apps so noms won't even be announced for awhile.

I disagree. Your videos will be graded when the team that grades them gets around to it. It is part of the internal 3Q process that you have to clear before getting an offer. I have lots of CFA already graded across my footprint, but they took them long ago. Complete the other stuff in your file as quickly as you can. Good luck!

Yeah I think the rep I talked to was misinformed. Mine just went to green as well so disregard my previous statement
