Hello i just took a cfa and i dont know what the requirements are for you to fail but here are my scores:

70 feet basketball throw
12 pullups
9 second shuttle
65 pushups
70 situps
7:00 mile

I dont want to take the risk of having my proctor sending them but then getting a fail on my profile... in anyones experience, have you seen someone with one of these scores fail?

Also i am aware about the averages but some of the scores can be a little bit below like the situps and run, therefore i just wanted to check in with the forum

Your mile time is a little slow. Your other events are good. I’d take it again and try to get your mile to 6:30 or better. Good luck - you’re very close!

@sa_applicant2023, Google “USMA CFA” and you’ll find a PDF that lists averages. Yes, it’s West Point, but consider it a very good proxy for USAFA.

To answer your question, your scores are not a “fail.” But if you can train a bit more and do better, then definitely do so, especially for shuttle run, sit-ups and mike. When it comes to SAs, don’t settle for “pass.” There’s time — take advantage of it.

I have seen the averages for CFA as follows:
B-ball Throw: 67
Pull-ups: 9
Shuttle: 9.1
Sit-ups: 72
Push-ups: 54
Mile: 6:43

You try to be above on each event, in my opinion so your sit-ups could use improvement as well as your mile. But you are so close on sit-ups, you can do that easily. Focus on getting your mile down in the mid 6:30 range. I have heard push-ups, sit-ups and mile are important because you will be doing a lot of those when you are at the academies! Good luck.
