CFA is pass/fail. If it's green on his portal, he should start working on other parts of his application. I see no advantage in redoing the CFA. Don't plow the same ground. He should apply to all nomination sources elligible. Keep him moving forward. Good luck.Is the CFA pass / fail or is there an advantage to redoing after showing qualified (more points = higher score)? USAFA is just pass/fail. DS has green qualified on his portal from NASS. Also, does USAFA and USNA use the same pass / fail standards?
No idea. He just has a green qualified in his portal. How do you convert the CFA scores at Summer Seminar to 0-100?
From session 1 or 2?No idea. He just has a green qualified in his portal.
My son passed his CFA at NASS a few years ago. When he asked how he did, the Detailer said, "Don't worry about it. You passed."No idea. He just has a green qualified in his portal.
1From session 1 or 2?
Note: As of June 78, the record holders for the USNA Obstacle Course both male and female were Varsity (small boat) Sailors.or your only sport is something such as martial arts, sailing, fencing, pistol / rifle, archery, etc. -- USNA will likely look much more closely at your CFA. They want to make sure you can handle the rigors of PS as well as stay motivated enough to pass the PRT every year.
[BTW, don't want to start a debate on how demanding the above-mentioned sports are. They are all great sports and require a high level of skill, dedication, etc. However, they generally don't routinely require the same activities as the CFA, PRT and PS (e.g., lots of running), which is what is key for SAs.]
