Could you retest first before contacting your RD? Then, contact your RD once satisfied with your results?
You "can" do lots of things in life. Whether you should is another matter entirely. As stated above, the facilitator is "required" to submit the results and, assuming the person is not dishonest, he or she will do it.
Also agree with the above poster that it makes no sense to resubmit simply to improve by 1 pushup. You should only resubmit if:
(1) There were conditions during the test (e.g., excessive weather conditions, illness, etc.) that likely
significantly affected your score
(2) You did quite poorly in a particular event or overall
(3) You did "okay" and now have improved your fitness so that you can make a substantial improvement in your scores. IMO (and it's only that), "substantial" = an additional 4-5 pullups, 20 crunches, 10 pushups, OR (not AND) 30+ seconds less on the run. Anything less (unless you've failed) -- probably won't make any real difference in your application.
And, no, you do NOT get "perseverance points" for retaking it multiple times. USNA at least only cares about your scores, not how long -- or short
-- it took you to get them.
Most people take the CFA only once.
