I am currently a scholaship cadet in AFROTC, I just did orientation, and I love it, but I just found out after working with my audiologist that I am not qualified to be an Air Force pilot with my hearing at one frequency in one year. My audiologist did find out with me that I am able to pass to become a Naval Aviator.
I had both AFROTC and NROTC scholarships, and chose AFROTC because I liked the service better. I am not sure what I should do now? Should I discuss this with my AFROTC cadre or should I start talking to NROTC to make sure I have a sure plan?

Better make sure there are aspects of NROTC and the Navy that you prefer — other than the flying part — before you switch. Because many things can happen between now and commissioning that prevent you from becoming a pilot. Some are in your control, others are not. So start with this: For which branch, regardless of specific job, would I be happiest serving as an active-duty officer? Whatever your answer is, that will guide you. Best wishes.

Cannot agree more with @MidCakePa

Nothing is guaranteed, and a lot of it goes to service before self. Even if you did qualify medically for Air Force Pilot, there's still a lot you have to go through to even get selected and hey, you might end up as an RPA or something other than a pilot. Just consider that.

Agree with Phzix and Midcake.

Take a breath and think carefully about this.

Regarding the Air Force, you said above that you "liked the service better."

What exactly does this mean? Answer this and you should know what you need to do.
