Class Changes

Possibly, hard to say. Depends on the situation. Are you dropping AP Physics to take a Cooking class, or vice versa?
Nothing against either class but you see what I am saying. Either way, you will need to update your admissions counselor on any changes. If you receive an appointment you will need to send Admissions your final high school transcript, best not to leave any surprises there.

In my opinion taking classes that you are passionate about and will excel in generally is the best move, however it is important that prospective colleges don't see it as taking 'an easy way out'.

I'm sure there will be some others here who can provide some more insight; just one person's opinion here :)

Well, the class that switched was AP Gov to Civics. I have all AP classes but that is the only class that is regular. The classes are actually separated by semester One with AP Macro and the Other with AP Gov, I decided to not to take AP and take the regular Civics class.

@Jled16 Is AP Micro not offered at your school? If AP Micro is offered I would highly recommend that because you have already taken Macro and it will help with your general sense of economics.

I just had an IGP meeting for my daughter and we were told that AP Macro includes Micro, that she would take TWO AP exams at the end of Macro, for potentially 6 credits. Can anyone confirm?

Yes that is correct. Six credits are awarded due to the fact that they are two seperate courses and two AP exams are administered for that same reasoning. I would check the college board website for the schedule because the AP Micro and AP Macro exams tend to conflict with other AP tests.

Unfortunatly my school doesn't offer Ap Micro, which was one of my intrest. But to graduate you have to take one semester of civics, which I decided to take the normal one.

My son added an accounting class. He is taking all AP classes. He is achieving his lowest grade ever in a class. And his dear father is a CPA.

And he is tired. Basketball season ... 4 hours a night. Happy when it ends in a few weeks to finish 7th semester.

Ahhhh. Thank you. I had no idea there was such a thing. Is it a paid position or the standard guidance counselor thing? (My high school had 13 students in my class, my kids homeschooled. We are ignorant of most bureaucracy)

(What's
IGP meeting
? Pardon my ignorance. Not familiar with school acronyms

Probably Individualized Graduation Plan. It’s an advising thing at some high schools.
Yes, sorry. IGP= Individual Graduation Plan. She is junior in high school, the meeting to talk about her classes next year. Her high school is huge, like 900+ in her class, and everyone gets a meeting with their guidance counselor every year. Our counselor has been wonderful!
