Class of 1500 for 2024?

I heard a rumor that the USAFA class of 2024 will have 1500 cadets. Can anyone confirm?

They may put out 1500 offers but there will not be that many there on Iday. There will be somewhere between 1100-1200 that go through BCT whatever they have room for within the entire wing.

The Air Force is over its officer end strength by 4,000. Go figure.

You’re probably confusing offers with final class. Congress mandates 4400 max at the DOD SAs. The SAs have pretty much honed the math on an entering class, which means in the 1200 range. With about 80% yield, that means about 1500 offers.
