While I realize now that's probably what was meant by it, in my defense, buff81, every list or post on this thread has Congressional as meaning House of Representatives and Senatorial for the Senate. (surprisingly, I did actually think about it before I posted lol) Thanks for the clarification though :)

Not a typo. Members of Congress includes both Representatives and Senators.
I had one from each Senator and from my Representative (NE-2). :wink:

So to defend my dignity, I was technically correct. :cool:

I didn't know they were referred to differently though, so
I guess you learn something everyday.

I just recently found this forum so I'm a little late in posting this. I received my appointment on January 15 from OH-14.

I'm looking forward to spending the next four years of my life with all of you!

I just found this website as well. I recieved my LOA in july and my acceptance letter on November 15 2010. Hoooah!!!!! CT-2
 
How come there hasn't been the explosion of appointments in the first half of March that has been the case in previous years?

I mean, it's two weeks past the deadline for candidates to complete their applications, isn't that plenty of time to assign a WCS to most of the files, determine who the principals are, then send out the BFEs to those principals who are fully qualified?

According to my Northeast RC, only principal nom/LOA will receive appointments, and everyone else will have to wait till the end of the month for WP admissions to get a better look at the class. This probably means it was extremely competitive and they want more time to review files, I would assume. However someone on the forum said their ALO said this letter was a rejection letter in disguise. I would hope not, and although it worries me, I am a bit skeptical because I dont think West Point would do that. He even stated that some of us are the vacany winners but he is awaiting approval from the director to send out the official letter.

Still hoping... My congressman's office gave me hope, but the things I'm hearing and reading on these forums are dwindling my hope. Haha
