No news here yet. Mail came with postcard of nomination confirmation(see past posts). Congrats to those who received BFE's today and best wishes to those who got TWE's (please stay in touch).
 
So went to the mailbox today... no TWE or BWE :( Dinner time rolls around and My Aunt asks me to serve the rice... uh... why is the rice blue?!?

I got my appointment today ;)

Tailwind, so sorry to hear of DS news. I enjoyed your post these past weeks, our past week has been parrell. As we all know one door closes but another one opens even thou our hearts are heavy when we hear that door shut there is next year. All the best to you and your family.
 
I called my Admissions councilor a few minutes ago to find out what was going on just because of all of the rumors going around. She said that everyone should hear something within the next two weeks or so. She said a lot of the letters of disqualification have gone out already (she also told me that it didn't apply for me :shake:)

So that's my contribution to the thread today...

My son emailed his admissions counselor asking for status update and was told his TWE would go out tomorrow, and even though he was fully qualified candidate, they could not offer appointment due to limited slots, and to pursue other college options and retry next year. TWE here to but we had low SAT scores so we somewhat expected it. Now the question is when do we find out about prep school and the falcon scholarship? Would we get a letter if we are turned down for it or only receive a letter if we are invited to join? I am going to investigate. Heads up. There are plenty opportunities to reach the goal they want to achieve. Or as my dad used to say "Many roads lead to Rome" (probably a dutch saying, cause I am dutch but it works). Hang in there, something will work out.
 
i've been reading this forum since march 1 and wish all of you the best of luck! i called my admissions counselor today and she said that qualified but no appointment letters will be going out on friday. unfortunately, i'm part of that group and will not be at usafa this year. i'm devastated but persistent. like others have said this is just a bump. i know exactly where I want to be and a bump is not going to keep me from getting there.

Hey everyone,
I've been following this thread for a little bit and I just wanted to let you guys know that a BFE has finally come to my mailbox! :yllol: I know that the admissions has said to look out on Monday and sure enough it was there! But anyhow, I wish all of those who are still waiting the very best of luck! :smile:

Congrats! Where are you located? Had you received a call prior from MOC?
 
Nothing in Northwest Florida. But somebody recieved a BFE in Central FL, which is further away from the Academy... Maybe it has to do with Post offices??? Maybe some are faster/slower than others???

The suspense is overwhelming...
 
No BFE in WI

Nothing here in Wisconsin, yet. Our mail is extremely unreliable. Kinda makes me wish we had a PO Box. Stalking continues.....
 
I am District 2 from Arizona. Received my nomination from Trent Franks, didn't get a call but I did get a BFE this afternoon

Araforce, I'm from Newton County. I actually did not receive any calls from my MOC or from anyone else.. It just kind of showed up!
