Got my second TWE in as many years today. I'll stay the course with Norwich AFROTC to commission. Congratulations to all of those who have been accepted, and good luck to those still waiting.

Sorry to hear that, best wishes to you at Norwich! I also got my TWE in the mail today. I'm in there with the reapplying club now, and also stalking again, hoping for a prep offer. Good luck to all others still waiting, and to those who are hoping for prep offers as well. :smile:

I'm sorry Haley. I was really hoping you'd get in! :frown: I saw your post on FB, and I'm glad you're persevering. Good luck with the falcon/prep offer! I know how you feel.
 
Sorry to hear about the TWE Haily, I was really thinking you would get an appointment. We are in the same boat with you! Hope to hear that prep school information REALLY soon.

On the same note, does anyone have an idea on what the approximate chances are of getting an appointment out of prep school assuming that all requirements are met?

Sorry to hear about the TWE Haley. I feel like I've gotten to know each of you over the last few months and I'm sorry didn't make it in this time. Best of luck to you...you've got a whole world of exciting possibilities ahead of you and it's all yours to make the most of!

Thanks to all of you for your overwhelming support! Here is what I shared on facebook today:
One of my teachers talked today about how facing failure is a part of life. Over the past two weeks, I have gotten four rejection letters: from USMA, U of M, Marine ROTC, and USAFA. But I will not let this define me. Thank you to all who have supported this dream and held me up when the dream was crushed, and I want you to know that it is not over yet. Giving up has never been an option for me; especially when it is something I have worked so hard for. I look at it this way: I have not failed. I've simply been given another year to try. And try I will.

Heard from insider friend who was in admin and has some friends still there. If you are qualified, no vacancy, not gonna have a spot. Very doubtful for waitlist as they already put out too many offers and expect some to decline to get where they are supposed to be. If you are qualified, you don't get prep school. It's for those that aren't qualified. If you QNV, have a good shot next yr. This yr small class hurt alot of qualified kids.Just thought I would pass along. Sorry not better news.
 
Haleym, I'm sorry about the twe, we were really pulling for you. Best of luck with the prep offer. I admire your posts and attitude - and with motivation and attitude, you will be very successful.

I thought they were not using the term QNV this year? How would one know if they were QNV or not?

My DS has already been told he is not being considered for Prep School.

You must have been in a rush while writing this.

Anyways, your information seems to contradict information that we've heard from other sources. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
