Just be advised that the pace of acceptance letters will get faster the closer we get to May 15. Our son found out 27 April. Don't give up yet.

To the folks waiting to hear, our family was in the same boat last year. It was horrible.

Realistically if you are on HOLD, you have a great shot.

Our son had a deadline for Virginia Tech with scholarship and we had to accept and pay the deposit while we waited for Kings Point. It was horrible not knowing either way. Luckily, he got the acceptance and we were able to get the deposit refunded by the other college. Plan a back up just to be safe.

Good luck, the nail biting is worth it as our son loves the school and the education is excellent. He is doing things that his peers will never get a chance to experience.

Thanks @1842 DS has been on HOLD since January 2018. DoDMERB waiver granted a few weeks ago.........so, hopefully DS is in a good place, right?

We, too, were able to get deposit money back from both Iowa and Wisconsin after our boys were accepted to USMMA. That said, it's best to wait until after Indoc to request your refunds. No sense giving up your spot with Plan B until your DS/DD makes it safely through Indoc.

Class of 2021 had 279. I think I saw the target number somewhere for 2022 but cannot remember exactly what was quoted. But, I seem to remember it was about the same if not a bit higher. Remember though that only about 10-15% of the academy candidates use this forum so take that into consideration when looking at the numbers of appointments and accepted/declined. Good luck and don't give up the ship!
