If anyone can share info or experiences with these schools or programs it would be greatly appreciated.

Son applied to and was accepted to USD. Great school, good program overall, good location for the most part. It provides a more rounded approach, etc. Smaller school, etc. Good friend has a DD at Clemson and just loves it. She is all Clemson! While my DS had some outstanding/great schools to choose from for NROTC he noted that SoCal just wasn't the place to be for him. That was surprising for my wife and I as we lived in San Diego for a long time and loved it. I finished my last 14 months between Coronado and Pendleton in the USN. We still have connections and regularly visit from our NorCal residence. If you haven't done it yet, 'walk' their websites, watch the videos, reach out to the ROTC leaders at the Uni's. Also, while I am not a Social Media fan at all, they directed my DS to their Facebook sites, etc. in an effort to showcase their value and differentiation. All that being said, enjoy the process, good luck to you and let us know how things fair.

DS is Army ROTC at Clemson and loves the school. They have a very strong military heritage which really appealed to him. It’s a small town but he loves the area. Lots of outdoor activities. And it’s literally right on a lake.
