If a scholarship recipient got an offer from the third board to cover tuition does that include the enrollment deposit for that college due in May or is the scholarship not in effect until the fall semester?

The scholarship will not kick in until you are medically qualified, arrive on campus in Aug and pass the physical fitness test. My DS was a 4 year winner on first board, Ive already had to pay enrollment deposit, 200 for orientation this summer and 150 housing deposit.

The deposits are not included. My son is waitlisted for the fall but has a guaranteed spot for Spring. The ROO said he will still get the 4 year scholarship.

The deposit is actually, in most cases, a deposit for room and board. The scholarship, generally, only covers tuition, fees and books. Therefore, you will not be reimbursed for this deposit in most cases. If your deposit is actually towards tuition then the school may refund you when they get paid the tuition from ROTC.
