While being on the NWL does not guarantee an Appointment Letter, it is important to remember that all those who have MOC who rank off the competitive method (not principal) will automatically be placed on the NWL if found 3Q'd until USMA ranks the 10 candidates and offers #1 an appointment. For example, I have been found 3Q'd and was placed on the NWL because my district will not have all of its applicants' files finalized (AKA USMA is still ranking the 10 of us on our WCS) until next week.
I asked at least part of your question a while back. Can any one please clear up my confusion?
1. I read that the USMA no longer does rolling admissions, so does that mean that the admission decisions will all be posted on May 1?
2. if the congressman from my region has 2 vacancies for a single SA, and because my region is not competitive t lets say only 8 people applied for a congressional nomination and received it. Does the rule still apply that among the nomination pool, 2 most qualified candidate will be selected to take the 2 vacancy? if so does it apply to this particular situation because there are 2 vacancies open which equals to 20 nominees, but only 8 people got the nomination to that SA, does the congressman have the option to give away the 2 vacancies? or keep one for next year perhaps?
My son got an appointment to USMA in January, and accepted it. He also got an appointment to USAFA, and was put on the wait list for USNA.
He is excited about WP.
