I am currently in this boat, I submitted everything in August and have been CPR since September. It could have already been reviewed. All that status means is everything has been received. They will remain in this status until a decision is made. I had a young man a few years ago compete their app in Aug, reviewed in Oct and remained CPR until April when he got his BFE.
Your sons application has been looked at. Along with the rest of the slate that he is on. He may not be the most competitive regardless of his medical issue. If he is waiverable, and is the one from the slate that USNA is wanting to appoint, he will be offered an LOA until his medical is worked through. This is common. There are lots of candidates in this exact situation, at this time.May it be reviewed….May someone take the time to really look at it….

Glad to see I am not the only one.My son is too. He had everything but the nomination done by mid-Sept. Got his nom the end of Nov. So now we just wait. And hope.
Not implying….just sharing the sentiment of so many. I know to each person who’s ds or dd has applied, they are more than what their packet can quantify, as are the names etched on so many memorials/walls.Your sons application has been looked at. USNA is working though how many slate? Of approximately 10 candidates?? That a LOT of applications. For however many people work on appointments (the step after admissions work).
It takes time. Throw in there candidates having yet to decide, and waiver/medical issues to settle, and you can see how that adds to the complexity of this process.
It’s highly unfair to imply that your son is being dismissed. Thrown in a pile. Not looked at. Which is what I get from your posts. The reality is that he is still under consideration. Where he is on that slate? Who knows. But if he receives his TWE? He isn’t under consideration anymore.
State slates are due the end of January. It takes a long minute for USNA to look through allllll those thousands of candidates, and begin to work through the complicated process. I wound not sign up for that! They are working HARD. Probably long hours. Missing their kids ball games, etc.
The fact of the matter, is that if you have CPR for a
Long time? It means you are in the ‘pile of maybe’. There are TWE’s that have gone out. If you are still CPR, you are still in the game. It takes until April 15-ISH (give it take). So you still have about a month to go. Plan on CPR until then. Bc that’s what USNA states.
It’s not fair to be mad about anything. Get grumpy after April 15Be patient. This is the process. It’s what candidates signed up for

We are patient and grateful to still be CPR, but my household’s frustration is with the vast difference in interaction and explanation between DS’s USMA Admissions Officer and USNA Admissions Officer. Your explanation was great. It was the kind we would routinely get from USMA when questions were asked and at least gives you some idea of where the process stands - it makes you feel like “hey, we want to be helpful but this is where we are”. For USNA, responses are delayed and usually consist of some form of “I don’t know, I turned it in…”. It definitely starts to impact how you feel about the process. But we’re trying to be understanding and realize they’ve got a ton to do the next few weeks.Your sons application has been looked at. Along with the rest of the slate that he is on. All the SA’s are different. Sure, they are all military, but they are different. They aren’t the same. Yess!! You hit the nail on the head.I think the reality is that we're all just crazy right now with wondering what is to come for our kids. I know there is nothing to do but wait but the busy energy in my body causes me to act crazy and look at portals and try to speculate things that I can't possibly ACTUALLY guess. So instead we all wait and make silly statements and read fortunes in things that have no meaning. Because ultimately, we all just want to know our kid is secure and our kids want to know what their future looks like. Those who have been through it can watch knowingly because they felt the same things and maybe years have softened it but they were in our shoes. Those who are just tuning in for the next cycle can laugh thinking they won't be as crazy as we are because they know better. Don't worry, you will be.= crazy too. I know you are looking on thinking that your kid is spectacular and will get that LOA in September and 3 nominations. I hope you're right! But we all have spectacular kids and most of them are still waiting. Some of us are going to get fantastic news soon and some will get heartbreaking news soon and there's no way to know this minute which one is coming to our household. So we wait. And say crazy things. And hope for the best. And do our taxes. And wait some more.
Yeeesssss!!! Exactly this!! Last year in our “looking on phase” the forum seemed to be full of answers and constantly flowing with new information. Then it’s your kid’s cycle and it seems to be traveling in slow motion. Back to my taxes to wait, I guess.Yess!! You hit the nail on the head.what do we do while we wait if we've already done our taxes?

FACTS! It's not much better being married into it lol.Consider this training for what is about to happen to you and them. And I suppose consider the four years at USNA to be training for long periods when you have no idea where they are and no way to contact them, even in an emergency. And they will be doing things that they cannot tell you about under penalty of prosecution.
