Recently, all applicants for USMA 2028 in my region received an email that said to contact our field force member (it was a general info email; standardized testing, grades, cfa, SLE etc.). However, it did not elaborate as to what that entails. Should I email my field force rep introducing myself, or avoid contacting them unless there is a specific reason?

It makes sense to introduce yourself. I advise my students to attach their résumé to the email, and state that they are looking forward to meeting her/him. Also, you might provide a current status, such as you applied to SLE, plan to visit USMA soon, and/or similar information. Then, periodically, update the FFR when you have something of significance to add, such as an improved SAT score, promotion in Civil Air Patrol, etc. If the FFR does not respond immediately, do not fret, but continue to update her/him throughout the spring and summer. Good luck!
